Carrie's Response

i agree with dennis completely. Someone in my mom's extened family had a family member who was murdered and although i don't know the details because i was young, i know that the people didn't get the death penalty. I can't imagine what it would be like to know that the person who killed a loved one is still alive in a jail cell. Some people think that they will sit there and regret their actions but i disagree with that. If they are awful enough to comit such a horrible act their not going to sit there and regret it, i can imagine them probably sitting there being like "shit i got caught." Ultimatly i think it should come down to the family whether or not someone gets the death penalty not a judge or jury, becuase obviously everyone has different views.
