Dennis' response to death penalty

I think the only time we should use the death penalty is if the person has killed other people. Some people think this is a very harsh punishment but let's say that someone killed one of your family members(hopefully this has never happened or will never happen.) You would most likely want that person to die because he killed someone you know and love. At least this is what I would probably feel because I wouldn't want that person to be alive. Other than that, I don't think the death penalty should be used, instead they should get locked up in jail or something.
