Kristen's response to the death penalty

The death penalty is one of those topics that sometimes is best to not be brought up because everyone has such conflicting and different view points. In my opinion, in some cases the death penalty is justified. I find it justified in the case of petafiles and rape. People who commit such acts make me sick. What can go through someone's mind that would enable them to think that it is ok to do such a thing? However, sometimes the death penalty is given to those who really do not deserve it. Yes, they do deserve some form of punishment but in many cases not the death penalty. The death penalty is something that should be taken extremely seriously and be given a lot of thought before that punishment is given to someone.
