Stopping the Shooting?

The first question is a little odd to me. We've already put on as many gun-control laws and whatever else that we can while still playing by the rule of the Constitution. People get angry at other people. It's what we do best. It would seem to me that what no-one bothered to ask this kid was why he did what he did. I wonder if anyone ever sat down with this kids and asked him what was wrong. Admittedly, he was carrying a gun and probably wasn't in much of a talkative mood but, I'm talking about before he desided that it was a good idea to bring a gun to school

The second question is a little open-ended because there is no one correct or incorrect answer. You could say that it's the other kids fault for picking on him so they should be dealt with. However, if there was a school counselor, why couldn't he do something about this kid, so maybe it's the school's fault. Maybe the kid was just messed up in the head and there was no help for him. It could be a mixture of all three. I was told once that some people go crazy because no-one will listen to them.

I guess all we really can do is put on stricter gun laws and just keep on with 'Business as Usual'. But, or at least to me, it seems that 'Business as Usual' is what is driving these kids to extreme measures because for them, getting beaten up, picked on, and being ostrasized is 'Business as Usual'. For them, basically not exsisting is the every day norm. I'm not saying that we should start a reach-out program for all the weird or odd kids. All I'm saying is some people need to be heard by people but when they don't really exist, it's kind of hard to be heard. I would say the best way to prevent this is to talk to that one weird kid, or quiet kid you never talk to because you never know if you could be the person who prevents that kid bringing a sawed-off shotgun to school. *shrugs* Sorry if that sounded corny ^_^
