Random Question.......

Is it worng to ask a good friend for gas money if you drive them to school everyday? I drive my friend everyday and she has never offered to pay..... i'm runnig low on money and i'm afraid to ask ....... sorry this is so random but i have been pondering this predicament for a while now... what should i do!?!?!
