Like Trish mentioned, although reaching out to the odd kid could help, it's not very realistic. People today are too involved in their own lives and typically arn't really concerned for that lonley, often beat up kid, or at least in my experience. Besides stricter gun laws, I think the media could help. When the Virgina Tech massacre occured they showed pictures of Cho wielding his weapons, glamorizing himself. I thought those pictures were inapropriate because he sent them in knowing he would most likely get media coverage. I beleive in one of his videos he was also quoted saying he looked up to Dylan and Eric, the Columbine gunman, and I believe that's why he sent the pictures, so others would look up to him, like he did to Columbine. I don't think those pictures should have been shown and that the media should monitor what they broadcast a little more closley. In a way I feel like because the media showed so many inappropriate pictures of Cho, it could result in more shootings by possible followers.
